CRIMSON CARES INITIATIVES: 3 Ways to Connect our Community – The Wardrobe Clothing Drive, LLS Advocacy, and Crowning Glory Community Cuts
Crimson Cares Initiative
Crimson Hair Studio is honored to offer 3 Crimson Cares Initiatives for philanthropic actions! We formed the Crimson Cares Initiative as a way to continuously give back to our local community: our staff and clients support so many amazing organizations and we are happy to be a conduit for powerful connectivity and help these causes within our business and network.
We are currently supporting 3 amazing giving organizations:
The Wardrobe (formally Career Wardrobe) Clothing Drive, throughout September 2021
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS), ongoing
Crowning Glory Community Cuts, ongoing
The Wardrobe Clothing Drive at Crimson Hair Studio
Throughout September, we will be accepting men’s and women’s casual, professional, special uniform, and formalwear donations on behalf of The Wardrobe. We have been fortunate enough to support The Wardrobe in other ways in the past and looking forward to working toward another important partnership with this outstanding Philly non-profit.
The Wardrobe works to end clothing insecurity and offers myriad workforce reentry programs to break barriers in advancement, in both confidence and employment. They offer free clothing to referrals, as well maintain fabulous resale shop whose proceeds benefit the mission.
“Clothing combined with personalized support helps 5,000 people a year look and feel their best to move forward in their lives.”

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a global leader in the fight against cancer and Crimson Owner Jen recently finished her training to become a PFO volunteer (patient and family outreach).
“LLS is an amazing organization that not only raises money for research and advocating on behalf of patients and their families, but uses money raised to directly help patients receive support, treatments, and nutritional guidance. After losing my dad to lymphoma 2 years ago I want nothing more than to help other patients and their families through their journey and treatment of blood cancer.”
Crowning Glory Cuts began in the fall of 2020 after returning back to work after a 3 1/2 month hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. A generous client donated to Crimson and nominated a home healthcare worker who had cared for a family member. Although many of us were home on lockdown there were many essential and front lines workers who never had the opportunity to take a day off. Whether they were hospital or healthcare employees, grocery or retail workers, teachers, parents doing their jobs at home while educating their children, or dealing with sick loved ones – these people are truly heroes.
Crowning Glory Cuts is a way we can give something back to people who don’t have time to think about themselves. We believe in the transformative power of a haircut! Everyone struggled in their own way during 2020 and as a hairstylist we feel grateful to be able to honor anyone who needs an afternoon of pampering and to feel good about themselves for taking it one day at a time! We have decided to make it an ongoing event at Crimson and are so happy to be able to use our talent to help our community!
